Access Programs

The DAM welcomes all visitors and we strive to be accessible to everyone. We offer the following programs for visitors with disabilities and are happy to discuss how we can accommodate your individual needs.

Art & About Tours

Art & About tours are designed for visitors with early-stage Alzheimer’s or dementia and their care partners. Experience and discuss art together on a tour led by a specially trained guide.

Art & About tours are offered every other month. See the Related Exhibitions & Events box at right for upcoming events. Museum admission and the tour are free. Space is limited; Reserve by contacting Sharon Stokes at the Alzheimer’s Association Colorado Chapter at sstokes1@alz.org or 303-813-1669.

Tactile Tours

DAM Tactile Tours

For visitors who are blind or have low vision, we offer tours featuring touchable materials and description. Free with admission. Please request two weeks in advance by calling 720-913-0130 or e-mailing access@denverartmuseum.org.

Custom Access Tours

Contact us to discuss how we can provide an enjoyable guided visit that will meet your needs. Please make requests at least two weeks in advance by calling 720-913-0130 or e-mailing access@denverartmuseum.org.
