A prolific goal-scorer, Thierry Henry made his mark as world-class footballer after joining the English Premier League club Arsenal under the mentorship of manager Arsene Wenger. Henry went on to become the all-time leading scorer for both his club Arsenal and French national team. Henry scored unprecedented 226 goals for the Gunners during his eight-year stint with the club. Henry won two Premier League titles and three FA Cups with the Gunners and was nominated for the FIFA World Player of the Year twice. He was named the PFA Players' Player of the Year twice. Henry joined FC Barcelona in 2007 from Arsenal and was part of the historic Pep Guardiola's team of 2009, which won a record six trophies. Barca won UEFA Champions League, Spanish league (La Liga), Spanish Cup (Copa del Rey), Spanish Supercup, UEFA Supercup and Club World Cup in 2009. Within three years of starting his professional career with Monaco in 1994, he got his national call-up for France national side in 1997. Henry won the FIFA World Cup in 1998, European Championship in 2000 and FIFA Confederations Cup in 2003 with French national team. After a decade, he surpassed Michel Platini as France's top goal-scorer with 51 goals in 123 matches. Currently, Henry plays for Major League Soccer's New York Red Bulls.
