Information on funded programs in Adelaide and Sydney for the insulation of residences and certain noise sensitive public buildings in areas of high aircraft noise exposure around the airports.
Australians living in remote and isolated areas rely on a weekly air service for the carriage of passengers and goods, including medicines, fresh food and educational materials. Australia Post uses some of the same air operators to deliver mail under separate contracts.
The Australian Government through the Regional Aviation Access Program (RAAP) provides funding for remote airstrip upgrades and subsidy for essential weekly air services to remote communities.
