She religiously works out five times a week and as a result, Gwyneth Paltrow looks significantly younger than her 40 years.

So the actress made a far better advert for her pal Stella McCartney’s swimwear than any young model could have done on Wednesday.

The fashion designer posted a photo on her Instagram page which shows Gwyneth full of Glee and leaping through the air.

The Sliding Doors star is sporting an unusual snakeskin two-piece with a bikini top that has a strap on just one side.

Gwyneth also shows off her natural beauty by going make-up free and wears her platinum blonde hair tied in a ponytail.

The wife of Chris Martin has long been a fitness fanatic so it’s not much of a surprise that she is happy to show off the fruits of her labour.

And Gwyneth’s figure looks great in the fun snapshot as she shows off her lean limbs and toned stomach while jumping in a garden.

Stella, the daughter of Paul McCartney, wrote alongside the image: ‘Sexy lady in Stella swimwear! Summer never stop! x Stella.’

Over the weekend Gwyneth was joined by her children Apple and Moses for a New York book launch.

The Iron Man star had her nine-year-old daughter and seven year-old son by her side as she signed copies of her latest cook book, It’s All Good, at the East Hampton Library Authors’ Night.

The Mail Online recently reported that Gwyneth planned to leave London with her family and return to Los Angeles.

It was believed the family would relocate to California in time for nine-year-old Apple and her brother Moses, seven, to start the new school year in September.

A source told the Mail the Oscar winner wanted to be closer to her mother and brother and planned to spend the next couple of years in Los Angeles.

40 is still young so she should look good. She just needs to stop showing off.

"Religiously works out five times", a vegan diet and no alcohol, of course she is honed but how much fun would that lifestyle actually be?

She's a bore but I must say her kids are absolutely adorable. Good on her for keeping them out of the spotlight most of the time.
