Well that didn't last long! Jennifer Aniston reverts to type in a safe LBD at Berlin premiere of We're The Millers... just a day after floral style transformation

She appeared to be heading in a brand new sartorial direction as she rocked a feminine and flirty floral skater dress in London on Monday night.

But Jennifer Aniston had well and truly reverted to type as she attended the German premiere of new movie We're The Millers at Berlin's Cinestar Potsdamer Square on Thursday evening.

Opting for her usual colour palette of muted hues, the 44-year-old actress played it safe in a simple black minidress as she hit the red carpet alongside co-star Will Poulter and directer Rawson Thurber.

In spite of her relatively safe ensemble, the Hollywood megastar did manage to push the boundaries a little with fierce structuring around the shoulders and an unusual wide leather waistband around her middle.

Jennifer completed her red carpet ensemble with a simple black clutch bag and towering wedges, while wearing her honey blonde locks swept to one side and tumbling across her shoulder in a cascade of waves.

Accessorising with a pair of intricate glittering diamond drop earrings, the former Friends star opted for slightly more dramatic make-up than usual with fluttering false eyelashes and a striking rouge lipgloss as she delighted her German fans.

It was a far cry from Jennifer's retro-inspired look the previous evening, which appeared to have marked a short-lived style departure of sorts.

Featuring a cinched-in waist and pretty double hem, the feminine and flirty skater dress proved a bold choice for the notoriously unadventurous star.

In We're The Millers, also starring Emma Roberts, Molly Quinn and Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer plays a stripper, requiring her to appear on screen in just her underwear as she performed a racy striptease to Mickey Avalon's Stroke Me.

And dedicated to the body beautiful, the former Friends star recently revealed her biggest indulgence while preparing for the role was kale chips.

Explaining her strict diet, she told Access Hollywood: 'I did eat that day [of the stripping scenes]. I was on a very like, you know, greens and vegetables and lean proteins and kale. When I really wanted to have a cheat day, I had to have a kale chip.'

And the actress joked that she went to great lengths to ensure her modesty was preserved throughout the racy scenes.

She added: 'That was some major strapping and organising. I had no taping. I really just doubled my bras. I had a thong and then two pairs of underwear. Why I thought that was going to help protect anything is beyond me.

'Because, that's just like ridiculous... I was like, "No, I need three bras! I need three bras because God forbid that one, if it's gonna escape".'

We're The Millers, the tale of a veteran drug dealer who creates a fake family as plan to move a huge shipment of cannabis into the U.S. from Mexico, was released in the US on August 7.

The movie hits UK cinemas on August 23.

Meanwhile their young co-star British actor Will Poulter, 20, who plays 'son' Kenny looked dapper in a slick black suit and tie.

Why does she dress like a school girl? Her clothes are not appropriate for a woman her age. It looks silly, because her face still shows her age.

She looked great in both dresses. I loved the flirty blue one, it looks fun and bright. She can wear anything, she has a fantastic figure.

her stylist should be fired. Aniston dresses like a girl under 10.

She looks amazing for her age and you can clearly see that she has natural frown lines, which is literally unheard of in Hollywood. Not a fan of the belt, or dress, but there is no doubt about it she looks great.
