Evans Farm/Vestile Family
Evans Farm South of Hicks.
Shelby Twp. Section 1 Twp. 5N Range 11 E.
The name Evans farm is given in the John Paul DAR transcriptions in the 1940s. It is possible the death date for W.H. Vestile is in error. As Rachel Vestile married Charles Black, it seems likely Elizabeth Black was their daughter and that this was a Vestile family cemetery. - Robert W. Scott.
Black, Elizabeth, dau. of C&R.; Black, d. Feb. 23, 1833, age 1 yr.
Vestile, W.H., d. Dec. 23, 1819, age 23 yrs.

Evans Farm Graveyard by Jackie Owen:
I was unable to find this graveyard. The property owner of the farm I believe it is on had no knowledge of it.
The information that follows is taken from the DAR list of 1941.
At the time this information was collected by the DAR, the farm the graveyard was located on was known as the "Evans Farm," but in more recent times was known as the "Vestile Graveyard."
