Bonta/Banta Family
I am looking for information regarding Rev. Edward Eden Bonta, b. 18 Sept. 1844, probably in Jefferson County, Indiana. He married Elizabeth Mathis (or Matthews) 21 Sept. 1865 in Madison County, Indiana. He died 25 Aug. 1908, probably in Ireland, Dubois County, Indiana. He is buried at the Shiloh Pioneer Cemetery in Ireland, Dubois County, Indiana.
I am searching for his parents and/or any siblings.
According to census records, he was living with the family of John Matthews (Mathis) in Shelby Twp., Jefferson County, Indiana in 1850, at the age of 5. He is also living with this family on the 1860 census in the same place.

Bonta/Banta Family
In response to my own post, I have found the parents of my Edward Eden Bonta, after over ten years of searching! They are Moses R. Banta and Cynthiana Beckley, married in 1826 in Switzerland County, IN. Moses is the son of Henry Banta.
I am now having trouble finding any further information on Moses and/or Cynthiana. Any further help would be appreciated.
