Ladies, form an orderly queue - Tom Cruise is officially back on the market.

The Top Gun star has reportedly enlisted the help of a dating service within the Church Of Scientology to help nab him his next wife.

According to British Grazia, Tom's criteria includes that the new Mrs Cruise must have been a member of the Church for at least five years and be involved in the entertainment industry.

The 51-year-old also seeks a 'brainy' woman in her mid-to-late 30s.

A source tells the publication, 'Tom needs to be strict about his criteria because he wants to avoid a disastrous match and he needs them to understand his hectic lifestyle and all that comes with it.'

While the thrice-married star was said to have been dating model/actress Jessica White since she first became affiliated with the Church in June, Tom's reps were quick to shoot the story down.

However, it now seems that the star is indeed ready to get back in the proverbial saddle.

Twenty-nine-year-old Jessica may not quite fit the bill, but according to reports, the father-of-three has already found a potential suitable candidate.

The as far 'unidentified actor' is known only to be friends with 33-year-old former That '70s Show and Orange Is The New Black star Laura Prepon.

Tom is reported to have hit it off with the young lady at a recent gala event at the Scientology Celebrity Centre International in LA - though he's keeping his options open for now.

Says an insider: 'Tom seemed impressed, but he's keen to see who else might be out there.'

Rumours have swirled for years about so-called 'auditions' being held on the star's behalf.

Just last month, former Scientologist Anette Iren Johansen alleged she had been 'auditioned' to be Tom's wife back in 2005, before he married Katie Holmes.

Of course, the Mission: Impossible star was married to the 34-year-old Dawson's Creek actress for five-and-a-half years before divorcing in July last year.

The couple are parents to daughter Suri, seven, while Katie maintains primary physical custody of the child.

Previously, Tom was married to actress Nicole Kidman for 10 years, before calling it quits in 2001.

The couple are parents to adopted children Isabella, 20, and Connor, 18 - both of whom have lived with their dad in Los Angeles since the divorce and have a distant relationship with their mother.

From 1987-1990, Tom was married to another actress, Mimi Rogers, 57.

Mimi is responsible for introducing the then-25-year-old to the controversial Church.

His faith is his faith.. It's not a crime at all.. cause yeah, when a guy isn't into scientology, it means he's not controlling, haha.. easy analogy, isn't it ? Seems he is trying to make it right the next time around: woman with common sense and similar background, not just young and a yes man..

I watched Vanilla Sky the other night. He was absolutely appalling in it. How he ever made it as an actor is beyond me. I suppose it might be his looks, but that would be pushing it in my opinion.
