Photographer files battery charges against pregnant Jennifer Love Hewitt's fiancé Brian Hallisay after physical altercation

Jennifer Love Hewitt’s fiancé Brian Hallisay is under criminal investigation.

The 34-year-old actor is said to have been involved in a scuffle with a photographer who was trying to take pictures of his pregnant girlfriend in Brentwood, California, on Friday night.

During the confrontation the photographer claims he was injured by Hallisay and has since filed battery charges.

The couple, according to TMZ, had just finished dinner at Italian restaurant Toscana when they were approached by the paparazzo.

The photographer was snapping pictures of the soon-to-be married couple as they exited the eatery.
Hallisay is said to have asked him to stop taking pictures but to no avail.

The Client List star is then alleged to have gotten physical with the cameraman.

Altercation: The paparazzo filed a battery report against Hallisay after the scuffle

It was during the altercation that the unnamed paparazzo claims he was injured near his eye, as the camera hit him in the face.

Hewitt was apologetic after the incident and apparently allowed the photographer to take her picture before she and her beau left.

But following the altercation, the cameraman went to the police station and filed an official battery report against Hallisay.

Sources told TMZ that the paparazzo was not visibly injured when he arrived to the police station.

Due date: The couple expect their first child in December

Meanwhile, Hewitt, 34, is expecting her first child with Hallisay in December.

The actress got engaged to Brian in July after learning that they were expecting their first child together, but she has now decided to postpone her nuptials until after her baby has been born as she wants to be back to her pre-pregnancy weight on her big day.

The couple - who first met on the set of NBC series Love Bites - have decided to keep the sex of the baby a surprise.

The happy couple currently star together on Lifetime’s The Client List.

You know, if you're famous, this is part of it. Whether you like it or not, on a public street, you're going to get your photo taken. And acting like an idiot will get more attention of the wrong kind than just going along with it. Just my 2 cents.

I dont agree with physical violence but the photographers shove cameras in peoples faces and then dont listen when asked to stop which is bound to frustrate. Cant two people enjoy dinner out in peace?
