She is something of a fitness fanatic and revealed she was 'so sore' on Friday after a Pilates class which nearly 'killed' her.

But Ashley Tisdale is reaping the rewards of all that working out and showed off her toned legs after the exercise session.

She had just returned from a trip to New York where she attended the Benefit party to mark the start of New York Fashion Week and enjoyed a girls night out with her pal Morgan Parks.

But the newly engaged actress showed no signs of tiredness as she was seen on a solo shopping trip at the exclusive boutique Intermix in Beverly Hills.

The 28-year-old displayed her tanned and slender legs in a tiny white denim mini-skirt which she paired with a short-sleeved grey T-shirt.

She paired her outfit with a red and blue checked shirt tied around her waist and a pair of fluorescent yellow wedge trainers.

Ashley kept her accessories simple with a pair of tortoiseshell sunglasses shielding her eyes from the Californian sunshine, and a long chain with a turquoise and silver design livening up her casual look.

The petite star, who wore minimal make-up, had her hands full with an enormous over-sized white leather handbag in one arm and a much smaller shopping bag from celebrity favourite Intermix in the other hand.

But the most important accessory was of course her dazzling engagement ring which sparkled in the sunshine.

Her musician boyfriend Christoper French proposed to her in August on top of the Empire State Building after an eight month courtship.

Ashley has spoken of her excitement and nerves about the big day and has insisted that she doesn't want to rush the wedding plans because she wants the day to be 'perfect'.

The bride-to-be told People magazine, 'I want to make sure it's perfect! But it's going to be a while. I started a Pinterest Board, but I'm not one to rush anything. For me, it's stressful just thinking about my birthday so I can't imagine my wedding day!'
