The 4.6 per cent rise in the month was the strongest since August 2010 boosted by greater demand fuelled by growing consumer confidence. Lloyds could pay highest dividend of all banks as boss Horta-Osorio 'aims to give 70% of profits to shareholders by 2015'
Lloyds Banking Group boss Antonio Horta-Osorio, who disclosed the high dividend target during a recent round of investor roadshows, is trying to attract investors ahead of the sale of the Government's 39 per cent stake in the bank, according to reports. A 70 per cent dividend payment would be the highest compared to other UK banks.
