Giving each other wardrobe tips? Paris and sister Nicky Hilton show off their long legs in different leather looks

Paris and Nicky Hilton may be on opposite sides of the country but both ladies know how to accentuate the best of what their shared genetics gave them.

Friday was legs day for the heiress sisters, who each chose different leather outfits to show off their long stems.

Designer Nicky was making hers the centre of attention in New York, while Paris was flaunting hers in Los Angeles, California, as she prepared to fly out to meet her sister at New York Fashion Week.

It is certainly lucky Paris flies private or first class because there was no way the leggy blonde was going to be able to sit comfortably in coach.

For her flight, 32-year-old donned super tight leather leggings which clung to her slim legs and finished over her ankles, tucking into her patent leather pumps.

The former Simple Life star teamed the very tight trousers with a white fabric and lace peplum top that finished just on her slender hips.

The combination of leather and lace created a feminine yet edgy look for the occasionally fashion challenged celebrity.

The reality star turned DJ accesorised the ensemble with a pair of heptagon oversized black sunglasses and a black and white handbag.

She of course brought her other favourite piece of arm candy along with her, River Viiperi.

The 22-year-old male model wore a very preppy look for the couple's flight donning chinos, a blue knitted sweater under which he wore a crisp white shirt and added a blue and white stripped tie and a pair of brown leather loafers.

Paris is clearly a big fan of accessories, posting an image of what she had packed for Fashion Week on her Instagram.

The image showed no less than 28 different types of sunglasses and a treasure trove of jewelry.

Paris captioned the photograph: 'Finally finished unpacking all my luggage. Feeling organized and accessorised. Ready for #NYFW.'

Meanwhile on the East Coast, Nicky was also making sure people got an eyeful of her toned legs.

The 29-year-old donned a bright blue leather mini dress which featured a thigh high split thanks to a zip which ran almost the full length of its skirt.

Nicky, who is back to being blonde like her sister these days, accessorised her look with a tiny black and white clutch by Rebecca Minkoff and black and clear pointed stilettos.

Looking decidedly feminine in her lather, Nicky attended the Brian Lichtenberg presentation at  Chelsea Studios.

The cult label, responsible for the controversial prescription clothing for Kitson, new Luxury Collection featured more than just its celebrity adored witty streetwear.

Its new season's collection included a host of different textured looks with plenty of leather dresses that no doubt excited the star.

Posting a picture of herself in front of the models Nicky wrote: 'Loved the @BrianLichtenberg presentation #NYFW.'

Also checking out the label was blogger Perez Hilton, which was no doubt a bit awkward considering his stage name is a play on Nicky's sister's name.

I would think tight leather pants would be miserably hot in this weather! Nicky is definitely much prettier than Paris, & doesn't usually wear such ridiculous looking outfts like Paris does every so often. I also love Nicky's shoe

I remember when these two came into the public eye - what a fantasy - two incredibly hot sisters - who were rich!!! Nicky kind of shunned publicity and totally dropped out of the public eye. I thought by doing that, she'd really let herself go - but - she's just as hot as she ever was!!!!! Paris - what can I say - perfection.

She seems to be calmer now. Not so.. 'Racy'? I love her look too, simple, and she wore the leather pants amazingly.
