His real-life Good Wife! Josh Charles marries former ballet dancer Sophie Flack in New York

Perhaps it's no coincidence that he stars on The Good Wife.

Actor Josh Charles married longtime girlfriend Sophie Flack on Friday in New York City, according to Us Weekly.

The couple held an intimate ceremony at a residence in Manhattan and then went to dinner at upscale eatery Il Cantinori in Greenwich Village, the magazine reports.

Charles, 41, is best known for his role as lawyer Will Gardner on The Good Wife, on which he has starred since 2009.

He also has turns on Aaron Sorkin's TV show Sports Night and alongside Robin Williams the cult 1989 film Dead Poets Society.

The actor will star in an upcoming romantic dramedy titled Bird People, which follows an American man who travels to Paris to restart his lfie.

Thirty-year-old Flack, meanwhile, was a professional dancer for the New York City Ballet for nine years.

That experience led her to write the 2011 novel Bunheads, which is unrelated to the ABC Family show.

Charles and Flack have kept their relationship out of the public eye for much of their history together.

They did, however, attend the 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards together.

And more recently, they were spotted at the wedding of Alec and Hilaria Baldwin in June 2012.

Maybe that event was the ultimate inspiration for the duo to finally tie the knot.
