She's been on a pressured schedule of promotional work for her film Diana.

Naomi Watts was restored back to her other life, that of mother and loving partner, as she enjoyed a bicycle ride in New York City with Liev Schreiber and their two sons.

The 44-year-old actress was relaxed and just enjoying the ride on Sunday as she pedaled after Liev, 45, who was cycling with Sammy, four, in front and Sasha, six, positioned in the back of him.

Although Naomi had a child's seat attached to her bike, she got to breeze around their neighbourhood relatively fancy free.

She wore her short blonde hair in a casual ponytail and was clad in a long-sleeved beige top, blue shorts and sandals.

Ever practical, the five-foot-five star wore her turquoise bag slung across her chest Girl Scout-style.

Last week was a different experience as Naomi attended both the London and Paris premieres for the bio-pic that focuses on the romance between Diana, The Princess Of Wales and Dr Hasnat Khan, played by Naveen Andrews.

In Paris on Friday, Naomi attended the glittering premiere wearing a billowing lacy mini dress with sparkly heels before changing into a vampy, black and sheer number with pointy black pumps for the after-party.

The versatile actress was a visual stunner as she hit up Thursday's London screening for the movie, which has gotten mostly thumbs down reviews from the critics.

The Mail's Christopher Tookey wrote: 'It has the slightness of a Barbara Cartland novella, but the love affair is treated with ponderous solemnity, as though it were another Gone With The Wind. It’s slow and terribly, terribly dull.

It went downhill from there as the film was panned in a series of dreaded one-star reviews.

But the criticism didn't seem to bother the sprightly actress in the least as she returned with her family to their Big Apple apartment later on Sunday.

While New York remains their preferred city of residence, the couple are also said to be leasing a home in Los Angeles.

That is where the clan lives while Schreiber films his Showtime series Ray Donovan.

'It was a very, very difficult decision,' he told the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in April.

'It was hard for me because my kids were in school in New York, all my friends are there and the theater is there. Those are the things I really miss.'

The criticisms of the film aren't a reflection on her. The whole project was ill-conceived, and she had the bad luck to be caught in the headlights since she had the title role.

Poor Naomi, I think she was the swan in this Turkey. It could of been so great, I blame the Director who actually said at the premiere "I have no interest in Diana"!!! Why make the film then - I think I could of done a better job. Naomi is a fab actress though and she will bounce back (21 grams anyone!) I think it has just proven the point that Diana is untouchable.

Naomi Watts is a beautiful and talented actress, however this entire movie was horribly ill-conceived!

If you can't get the hair and the clothing right, and the actress is 6 inches too short, chances are people aren't going to like her.
