Best in show! Jessica Chastain's three-legged rescue dog steals the spotlight as the pair arrive in Toronto

She's used to turning heads with her beautiful red hair. But on Sunday her travelling companion stole the show.

Jessica Chastain arrived at the Toronto airport with her adorable three-legged rescue dog, Chaplin.

The smiling duo - yes Chaplin was caught smiling in a photo or two - made their way through the terminal as the 36-year-old held on tight to her pooch's orange leash.

The pup didn't seem to mind all the attention, staying calm as he walked with his owner.

Jessica and Chaplin looked perfectly cute together with the actress' dress matching her dog's fur.

The Zero-Dark-Thirty star wore a toffee coloured button-down dress, neutral sandals and a purple purse big enough to hold goodies for her and her furry friend.

Little Chaplin's somewhat curly coat gradually gets darker toward the tail with the darkest colour looking strikingly similar to the hue of the ravishing redhead's dress.

The Help actress is in town promoting her two-part film The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, which is split into Him and Her segments, at the Toronto International Film Festival.

In the flick, Jessica stars as Eleanor Rigby opposite James McAvoy's Conor Ludlow. Conor and Eleanor are a New York couple whose relationship is rocked by tragedy.

Jess recently went to the Giffoni Film Festival in Italy where she dazzled in a red lace, strapless dress with strappy silver sandals.

She left her pup at home though for the Giffoni festival, bringing her grandmother along instead.

The movie star and her redheaded grandmother Marilyn were spotted enjoying the sights in what is believed to be Italy.

Marilyn has accompanied Jess to industry events before, attending both the 2012 and 2013 Oscars with her famous granddaughter.

After the 2013 Oscars - where Jessica was nominated for Best Actress - the star wrote on Facebook: 'There was a special moment... while watching Barbra Streisand sing Memories. I looked over at my Grandma and she had tears in her eyes.’

'It was wonderful to be there with her, watching her favorite singer perform her favorite song.'

Marilyn is one of the star's biggest supporters and encouraged a young Jessica's interest in acting.

You have to be a special person and truly love animals to adopt a sweetie pie like this!! And she seems very family oriented and down to earth.....beautiful too! I hope she achieved great great success in Hollywood! We need more actresses like this giving such good example!

A uniquely beautiful and extremely talented actress. Also very gracious and much liked in the business - has that old style elegance about her, and the fact she has the heart to adopt a three legged pooch makes her even more likeable.
