'She said go the whole way!': How Robin Thicke's wife Paula Patton urged him to pose with five nude models

Paula Patton is one very open minded woman when it comes to her husband Robin Thicke being around scantily-clad women.

The Blurred Lines star has now revealed that his wife was the one who urged him to pose with five completely nude models on the cover of Treats! magazine.

The 36-year-old singer says that after he agreed to pose with the topless ladies, the actress suggested he 'go the whole way'.

And that is just what he did, as he is seen on the front cover of the publication being fawned over by the naked women.

Thicke told Treats! that his cover shoot was the first time he had worked with completely nude models.

'It was very sexy and I like that. At first I thought, ''Okay, let’s just do topless'' ...but, again, my wife and her friends were like, ''No way…go all the way.'' I think we definitely pushed the envelope,' he said.

Thicke also revealed that he found inspiration for his racy Blurred Lines video from the pages of Treats! magazine.

The 36-year-old singer and his collaborators scored the anthem of the summer with the catchy tune and gained notoriety with its uncensored video that got banned from YouTube.

Robin told Treats! that wife Paula also urged him to style the video based on the quarterly limited edition magazine.

'When I was talking to my wife (Paula Patton) and her friends about the video they said, ''Do something like Treats! because you love it so much,''' Thicke told magazine.

The quarterly magazine with an annual subscription rate of $119.95 describes itself as the intersection of sensual photography, fashion, art and engaging reading.

'I wanted to give homage where homage was due. We wanted to pay it all forward about our inspiration from Treats! for the Blurred Lines video,' Thicke said.

Thicke said he showed the third issue of the magazine featuring Emily Ratajkowski on the cover to video director Diane Martel.

'And she said, ''That's our girl!'' And she was cast,' Thicke said.

Emily was cast alongside two other semi-clad models in the video featuring rappers T.I. and Pharrell and her stock immediately skyrocketed.

The American model and actress appeared in GQ Magazine's July/August issue in a shoot by acclaimed celebrity photographer Tony Kelly.

Paula and Robin's marriage was recently engulfed by scandal after an Instagram picture emerged that appeared to show Robin groping a 20-year-old's bottom at an after party for the VMAs last month.

The Instagram snap in question showed him grabbing her backside in a particularly inappropriate manner - a moment captured thanks to the giant mirror behind them.

The fall issue of Treats! magazine wil be on newsstands on Sept. 16.

It doesn't matter what he states the reasons are for using nude women; it is clear he used nude women because it attracts attention and therefore sells, much in the same way male nude models attract attention. Males don't go nude is because they aren't asked to, for one simple reason - the male body is deemed offensive. This is displayed perfectly with your comment about "power positions" which is pseudo-scientific nonsense lifted directly from feminist literature, and this has permeated into society; I was hopeful you'd offer me something more robust than feminist gobbledygook in lieu of evidence. So, do you object to (mute) males taking off their clothes? A woman wearing revealing clothing attracts male attention, which in turn fosters an environment of "objectification". She may not want to be photographed, but she is in full view of men.Do you want to restrict women's clothing choices?

To be honest, if Thicke wanted to "go all the way", he should take a leaf out of naked Miley's book in his next video. He should also gyrate around a fully dressed woman whilst he wears next to nothing. Now THAT would be really pushing the boundaries. And they say equality exists...

This has been done before...Remember Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" with the "Palmer Girls" It's just that everything is more explicit these days. And the message the entertainment industry is sending is the same: If you are a female you must be beautiful at all costs and you're simply an object for a man. It's a disgusting message that unfortunately some young girls might follow.
