Morena Baccarin shows off her pregnancy curves in a slinky dress at Homeland premiere... as she reveals her bump has been 'digitally edited' out of the show

She's got just over a month to go until she welcomes her first child into the world.

But while many women at that stage in their pregnancy would be happy to stay at home and rest, Morena Baccarin is doing nothing of the sort.

The stunning 34-year-old actress poured her pregnancy curves into a form-fitting brown dress as she attended a special screening of the season premiere of the new series of Homeland at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. on Monday night.

Looking radiant for the occasion, Morena highlighted her ever-growing bump in the chic dress, which she teamed with a pair of strappy gold heels and a slick of red lipstick.

Morena reprises her role as Jessica Brody, the long-suffering wife of Damian Lewis' Nicholas Brody, in the upcoming third season of Homeland.

And despite finding out she was expecting her first child with husband Austin Chick just weeks before she started shooting the new series, Morena said that her Homeland bosses were more than happy for her to conceal her pregnancy figure during filming.

In a recent video interview with the Los Angeles Times, Morena, whose baby is due at the end of October, said: 'They had experience with having to hide a pregnancy because Claire (Danes) was pregnant last year.

'And it's not as hard as you think to hide a pregnancy these days, what with all the technology and everything.'

Morena added that while she shot the scenes as normal, they were being edited post-production to ensure her bump wasn't visible.

She said: 'I know that last year with Claire they replaced part of her body digitally and used body doubles - it's all just a trick.'

Morena also spoke about what's in store for her character in the new season of Homeland, now that her husband Brody has gone into hiding after being framed for blowing up the CIA headquarters.

She said: 'Brody has gone into hiding and the kids are having issues which you can understand. Jess' mum makes an appearance this season to lend some support but it quickly gets complicated.

'But to be honest I don't know how much more they can throw at her that she can handle.Se's really holding it together given the circumstances.'

Morena happily posed alongside co-stars Damian, Claire and Mandy Patinkin at the red carpet event, looking thrilled to be there.

Later this month, Morena will be making an appearance at the Emmy Awards, where she is nominated for a gong.

But given that she will be over eight months pregnant by the time of the ceremony on 22nd September, Morena joked that she has asked her doctor to be her plus one, rather than her husband.

Yes, she is beautiful, with that said, she looks ridiculous in that dress. Just because your are proud of your pregnancy does mean you should let yourself look like a stuffed sausage.

Woah there DM... 8 months' pregnant woman goes out for the evening? And most women in that position would stay at home you say? For goodness' sake. It's great going out when you're about to pop- you know you won't be able to for a while afterwards, everyone tells you your bump looks great, and you don't have a hangover the next day cos you can't drink! And it's not exactly arduous. Anyway, she looks great and is very beautiful but I do have to say I think she is a rather wooden actor next to Claire Danes, sorry, I was hooked to the first series of Homeland but lost interest after 2 episodes of season 2... the plot just seemed to drag on and lose its way.
