Victoria Beckham has quashed rumours her family is moving back to the US just months after settling down in the UK, insisting: 'We're very proud to be British.'

Rumours were rife of yet another move for the Beckham clan after they spent a happy summer back in Los Angeles, however Victoria told MailOnline today: 'You know, I'm so happy to be back in London, we all are.

'The kids go to fantastic schools, they have lots of friends and our family live in London, we're very proud to be British.

'I travel a lot, so I get influenced by lots of different places - but I'm enjoying London. I work every day and spend time with my family. London is an incredible city.

However, in a preview of her Victoria, Victoria Beckham spring/summer 14 collection at New York Fashion Week, the petite brunette, 39, admitted the family would continue to spend vacations at their LA home, saying: 'I love LA as well!

'It's great to go back when the children have time off school,' she continued. 'Spending time in New York is great, there's such an energy here, but London is our home - we have no plans to move. That's where we're staying.'

The Beckhams and their four children only moved back to London in the New Year to coincide with David Beckham's brief signing to Paris Saint-Germain, followed by his emotional retirement from football in May.

And Victoria admitted to missing Los Angeles in an interview with the New York Times' T Magazine last month, saying: 'I am very career minded, and I think my personality is more suited to America. I am a working mum.'

Still hugely ambitious she added: 'I want to reach as many women throughout the world as I can. There are more categories that I want to enter into.

I have five categories at the moment. But at some point I would love to do shoes, I would love to do fragrance, I would love to do make-up, I would like to do underwear. There are so many things I want to do. I want to get bigger and bigger. I absolutely want an empire.'

And Victoria made it no secret that she missed the States while on holiday in California last month as she tweeted pictures of her hiking in the Hollywood Hills, adding: 'So good to be back in LA,and hiking, who knew? X vb.'

Another read: 'Love hiking with my babies! X vb,' next to a snap of her strolling in the hills surrounding Los Angeles with her two-year-old daughter Harper.

Former England captain David also seemed to be having the time of his life as he boogie boarded with his three sons at Malibu Beach.

Showing off his muscular physique, the heavily tattooed 38-year-old smiled and laughed as he splashed in the waves and took snaps of his boys.

Wearing just a green baseball cap and blue swimming trunks, the sports star seemed to be making the most of his retirement from football.

Sons Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 11, and eight-year-old Cruz seemed to be enjoying their dad's attention, with Burberry model Romeo posing for pictures on his board.

David is now working on new projects - including teaming up with Gordon Ramsay on a new pie and mash shop to echo his East London roots.

However, contrary to popular opinion he has NOT partnered with the Masterchef host on his new Union Street Cafe in London.

The restaurant, in Southwark, took an incredible 2,500 bookings within four hours of its website going live and it is expected to be one of the places to be later this year.

However, a source told MailOnline: 'We don't want people to be disappointed. David and Gordon are great mates, as everyone knows, but are not working together at all on this restaurant.'

What a bunch of rubbish. They're so British their daughter is an American and they lived in the US for at least 4 or 5 years. That's as British as you get!

If you have the resources to live in different countries, why not. You're able to experience the best of both worlds. Gwen and Gavin for example live in LA but spend their summers in London as they have a home there also. If I have the money to be able to live in different countries, I would too!

How two faced can a person get?? She was quoted not so long ago as saying she prefers L.A. to G.B but of course the kids education is more important!! The only education her daughter gets is how to fasten your seat belt and where the exits are on a plane!

I honestly think they like LA, well weather, but also nobody trolls them, insults them, there are hundreds of celebs and unless you're walking out of Boa nobody is gonna bother you. She can do average people stuff like hike in the canyon. David goes to Starbucks and people give him a head knod and move one. I'm sure he get's asked for pics but it not the media circus/public hater fest that happens when he's in England. You don't see stories about them here. They actually don't make a spectacle of themselves.
