Colonel Doner
President


 

Colonel Doner has been actively involved in leading Philanthropic organizations for almost three decades, and has presided over the delivery of over $700 million dollars in aid to the world’s poorest of the poor. Having served with Billy Graham, Carl Henry, Charles Colson, on Campus Crusade for Christ’s New Life Evangelism Campaign in 1999, Doner was also a Distinguished Senior Fellow of Philanthropy at the Center of Cultural Leadership, and previously served as chairman with Tim LaHaye of the American Coalition of Traditional Values. He was the former chairman of the Reagan/Bush Christian Liaison Taskforce.

He has been a national radio commentator, magazine editor and publisher, and TV producer. He’s been featured on 60 minutes, 20/20, and other major TV networks, as well as in the pages of Time, Newsweek, Christianity Today and The Washington Times and is the author of several books. He serves to provide leadership to the Samaritan Group, a coalition of ministries on four continents committed to sharing resources to more effectively alleviate suffering and provide practical means for the elevation of the quality of life of the underprivileged in their respective nations.

Colonel is an avid student, photographer, traveler, epicurean, and host who enjoys mentoring others to celebrate life with purpose, power and passion.



Matt Kenny
Vice President


 

Matt Kenny has been a friend of Abandoned Children's Fund since its inception in 2009 and he is presently the Director of Ministries at KTLN-TV. Matt served as the Director of Public Policy for Strategic Christian Services in Santa Rosa, California, and has served churches in Modesto, California; Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Naples, Florida. As KTLN's Director of Ministries, Matt oversees the Care Force ministry that serves as a liaison to local churches, civic and community groups, and Christian organizations.

He carries a burning desire to motivate and assist individuals and communities in the foundation and implementation of biblically based public policy and community service. Matt is a graduate of California Graduate School of Theology and holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy from Regent University. He has over 14 years of pastoral experience including service in the spheres of Christian education, political activism, and community outreach. Matt has three children and he currently resides in Marin County, California.




J R Young

After completing his BA degree and earning his California Secondary Teaching Credential, J R taught English and Reading in the public school system for 7 years. During this time, he also completed all the course work for a Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis in reading. J R is married to his high school sweetheart JoAnn, they have two children, eight grandchildren and a yellow Lab named Powell.

In 1972, J R had an encounter with Jesus that changed his life; he became involved with a street ministry called, "His Name Ministries." He quickly became a leader in this group and in 1975; he left his career in teaching to become a minister with His Name Ministries. In 1985, J R became the senior pastor of Santa Rosa Christian Church and served in that position until 2002.

He now serves on several boards of directors of missions and charities and is a pastoral advisor to several ministers and missionaries around the world; in addition, he heads up two charities that support missions and missionaries.

 

 

Brant Doner
Director


 

Brant V. Doner has served as both an officer and director on the Abandoned Children's Fund Board since 2008. He has extensive administrative experience in Charity and tax exempt and nonprofit management as well as having organized team trips to Africa, Asia, Haiti and Central America in order to bring love to abandoned and abused children deserted by their families. Brant is presently a University student and has attended Pepperdine University in Southern California and received a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science.

 

 

 

 

 

Davide Zaccariello
Director


 

Davide Zaccariello is an Italian National who has at least 10 years of experience leading, serving in International Philanthropic Organizations. He has provided leadership and direction in fund-raising activities he offers strategic counseling, negotiation and training for the projects being supported. Davide was the founder of the Italian Charity Associazione Mani Aperte Onlus, he served on the Board of Directors of the German Charity Hilfe Weltweit, and on the Board of Directors of Aid Through Education in the USA. He is committed to sustainable development and the promotion of human rights in his work.

As a training professional Davide's services have been aimed at the acquisition of self-management tools, learning techniques that facilitate the development of personal responsibility for his clients. He has worked in training environments throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and the United States, and enjoys a reputation for spontaneity, originality and seminal thinking. He has served on the board of Abandoned Children's Fund for several years and presently lives, works and travels internationally out of Switzerland and has 3 children who live in Florence Italy.

 

 

Campbell Kelly
Director


 

Campbell R. Kelley has served as a director to Abandoned Children's Fund since 2012. He has also traveled and participated in the service projects being delivered to abandoned children in Haiti, South Africa, Zambia, Nicaragua, Belize and the Dominican Republic. Campbell is currently a University student pursuing his Master's Degree in Economics.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ken McGrath
Operations Director (non voting)


 

Ken McGrath has a long resume of administrative contributions in Christian Ministry, Education and Business. Ken retired from a lucrative Self Employed career in Business Development to cultivate personal interests in Literature, Music and Art. In 2008 he retired from retirement and entered active participation in Philanthropy by way of his acquaintance with Colonel Doner and his interest in alleviating the suffering of disadvantaged children.

Ken has managed the administrative functions of various non-profit tax-exempt charities, the Gift-in-Kind portfolio’s for a number of charities and traveled extensively in East Europe, Africa and Asia analyzing third world business enterprise opportunities, promoting micro-enterprise lending projects as well as abandoned and abused child care programs and inspecting medical distribution networks in the third world for compliance with Gift-in-Kind auditing standards.
