Two months ago she was hit with the tragic death of her boyfriend Cory Monteith.

And as she tries to move on, Lea Michele is keeping a piece of him with her.

The Glee actress is never seen without her sweet Cory necklace these days although she is attempting to get back into a normal routine by returning to work and catching up with friends.

On Thursday in Los Angeles it was pampering time for Lea, 27, as she made a trip to the Meche salon in Beverly Hills to get her brunette locks tended to.

Lea arrived with her long hair tied back in a simple bun but left with her glowing tresses flowing around her shoulders.

Along with her Cory necklace, she wore a simple outfit of denim shorts and a checked shirt.

Michele added flip flops and dark sunglasses and appeared to be in good spirits, flashing a smile as she left the salon.

Lea was also catching up on her reading, clutching a copy of the book Gone Girl, which is being made into a movie starring Ben Affleck.

Cory was found dead in his Vancouver, Canada hotel room of a heroin and alcohol overdose in July.

He had struggled with substance abuse problems and been to rehab twice to treat his addiction, the first time occurring a decade ago.

Lea stood by her man when the 31-year-old star checked himself into a treatment facility in late March of this year.

'I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this,' Michele said in a statement to People magazine. 'I am grateful and proud he made this decision.'

Lea is expected to attend this weekend’s Emmy Awards in Los Angeles and Emmy producer Ken Ehrlich and CBS executive Jack Sussman were recently forced to defend plans to include Cory in their In Memoriam segment.

E! News quoted Ken saying,  ‘It was a rather personal choice, but Cory's appeal was to maybe a little different generation than some of the others we're honouring.

‘We felt it needed to be represented, that at 31, he passed away under very tragic circumstances. And that it was important to be responsive to younger viewers.’

For Christ sake as a fan can I just say you need to leave her alone? She's trying to move on and I'm sure seeing articles like this makes it all come flooding back. Seriously are you that stupid?
