Our Mission
IESTC has gone through a great transition from a typical dinner meeting organization, to a focus on community service and providing education to local business. The goals of the chapter also changed as we found our identity in the community in which we live. We not only began contacting local businesses and other associated chapters to present writing skills seminars as a free service, we were also able to make a great difference in our selected community service project, the Riverside County Animal Shelter, having now donated over $2000 to help the little animals.
About your new Board of Directors
Mike Sanders, President, is a senior member of STC, past Vice President and President of IESTC, and is also immediate past President of the Riverside Chapter of Project Management Institute.
Sue Moss, Vice President-Finance and Treasurer, is a recent graduate of the UC Riverside Technical Writing Program and lives in Ontario. She also an accomplished marketing and sales specialist.
Our Goals
IESTC will continue to provide writing seminars to local businesses. We plan increase our membership through local colleges and universities. We willleverage the senior members of our Chapter for mentorship of young writers just entering the job market as well as continue our charitable work for the Riverside Counter Animal Shelter.
