The Department of Natural Resources and the Environment at the University of New Hampshire invites applications for a three year teaching position, academic year, benefits eligible, non-tenure track (.88% FTE). The position is potentially renewable.
RESPONSIBLITIES: The teaching load is two courses plus one honors recitation section per semester, with prime responsibility for multiple sections of a large undergraduate class in basic environmental science/literacy which explores the impacts of technology and human activity on our environment and natural resources. Expectations are that the individual’s teaching focus principally on introductory general science, environmental policy, and environmental management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in natural resources, environmental policy, or related fields preferred; demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: While opportunities for additional scholarship may be possible, this position is full time teaching. Thus, prior successful teaching experience is required for this position. Submit curriculum vitae and copy of graduate transcript and submit the names of three references. In the letter of application candidates should describe their interest and experience in teaching at the undergraduate level as well as their research in their field of study.
