Here's to never growing up! Gerard Butler engages in some outright peculiar tomfoolery with a giggling friend on the streets of NYC
|
He has tackled plenty of grown-up subject matter in his acting career.
But Gerard Butler proved that he is still just a boy at heart on Saturday, as he engaged in some rather peculiar but apparently hilarious tomfoolery with a giggling friend in a seedy corner of the street.
The 43-year-old Olympus Has Fallen actor defied adulthood as he careered around New York City standing upright on his mountain bike.
Playing up! Gerard Butler had a jolly old time out in New York City's East Village on Saturday where he goofed around with a friend and cruised on his bicycle
Gerard opted for a fun pair of
army-print cargo shorts for the playful outing, which he teamed with a
denim button-up shirt and a matching blue trucker cap in lieu of a bike
helmet.
He pedaled about on the beastly
two-wheeler in brown Adidas sneakers, opting to forego the bike seat and
show off his epic balancing skills instead.
Then the Law Abiding Citizen star dismounted from his bike, as it was prank time.
Life's simple pleasures: The 43-year-old actor had a giggle with a friend as they checked out his phone
Well that looks fun: The Olympus Has Fallen actor squatted in a particularly grotty looking corner, fooling around as his buddy took a funny snap
A snap shows the heartthrob actor
squatting in a rather dirty looking corner littered with rocks and
graffiti, and simulating an act that looks an awful lot like going to
the toilet.
But it was all in the name of fun and
games, as Gerard was next seen having a good chuckle with his friend
and partner in crime as they checked out the photo evidence of the
pretend incident.
The Scottish star recently showed his true colours as he stepped out to speak in support of noble the Global Citizen event in New York's Central Park.
Alert: The Scottish star stood tall on his bike to check out the traffic ahead
The website states that the focus of
the event was 'celebrating success and accelerating progress to a world
without extreme poverty by 2030', and it was run by the very noble
education and advocacy organization The Global Poverty Project, which
itself was founded by Hugh Evans and Simon Moss.
'Join me & share your voice to fight extreme poverty at #GlobalCitizen Festival,' Gerard urged his Twitter followers.
The actor's noble support of such important global issues should surely help him snag a new love interest or two, following his recent split from on-off girlfriend Madalina Ghenea.
A boy at heart: The heartthrob looked to be having the time of his life on the two-wheeled beast
Charitable: Gerard Butler was one of the many celebrities supporting the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park last week to help erase extreme poverty, initiated by the Global Poverty Project
