Trying to mask something? Kim Kardashian comes over all shy as she leaves salon with face treatment still visible

She made her triumphant return to the limelight earlier this week in Paris looking simply glowing following the birth of her first child.

But it seems Kim Kardashian may have been getting a little help from elsewhere to create her enviable complexion as she was spotted leaving a beauty salon in Los Angeles on Friday.

And the 32-year-old appeared keen to keep her cosmetic secret to herself as she tried to cover her face as she returned to her car… showing just a glimpse of the clear mask still on her skin.

Looking super dressed down the reality star wore a pair of pale blue jeans which clung to her well-known shapely derriere.

She teamed the denim with a white tank-top and added a simple pair of black flip flops – looking a far cry from how she appeared in Paris.

Her newly dyed blonde hair was casually tied off her face and she appeared to still be wearing a headband from the salon around her head.

In the past Kim has been more than happy to share her beauty regime with her fans – she famously had a blood facial on an episode of Kourtney and Kim Take Miami earlier this year.

As well as allowing it to be filmed for the show, she also uploaded a number of snaps documenting the occasion on Twitter.

Fans of Kim will know that these days Kim’s updates on Twitter are very few and far between.

In fact on Friday evening she shared the second ever picture of her daughter North with the world, following her break in Paris.

Captioning the image of her little one she wrote: 'I missed waking up with my little angel.’

The trip across the pond raised questions about whether Kim’s complexion really was just down to good genes, as she looked vastly different to the fresh-faced girl who burst onto TV screens back in 2006.

Kim has confessed to having Botox and was filmed doing so for an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she denies ever having had surgery, claiming that her looks come courtesy of good genes, expensive beauty products - and great lingerie.

'Trust me honey, if I take this bra off you will tell me I need to get them done,' she said of her breasts during an appearance on an American TV chat show in 2010.

'I'm totally not against plastic surgery. ... I've tried Botox before. That's the only thing that I've done.'

Why has she been so careless lately, also hiding herself from cameras, not happy. What the heck is going on with her? I feel she has HAD IT with this Kanye thug and she's embarrassed to dump him after she's just had a kid with him...not to mention the 72-day marriage; even in this day and age when everything goes, she comes through like a major idiot for acting the way she does. She should go on retreat with a group of nuns. I am serious.

It's honestly hard to tell whether Kim is 'glowing' or a natural beauty due to the 50 layers of makeup she is constantly wearing. It is obvious that she has some major self esteem issues and the few times she has no makeup or less makeup on she covers her face and is terrified to be seen less than perfect. She even went into hiding for months to avoid being seen looking fat. She is truly vain and selfish woman and its a shame that even after having a baby she is still all about Kim and would rather go to Fashion Week and flash her boobs than spend time with her little one.

She doesn't need cosmetic anything done to her. She needs a psychiatrist to figure out why she is the quintesential narcissists. I'm so sick of looking at her and hearing about her. Why does she believe that every other day we need to see her in a new outfit, bikini, or hairdo. Please Kim, go away.

For those in the UK, the entire Kardashian family is like a sexually transmitted disease in the United States. Nobody likes them. We can't get rid of them. They just exist, spewing pus and creating sores. Literally, the American public can not stand them, with exception to the amount of those who watch the show, which is a tiny part of our population. The public makes fun of them. Constantly!

Can't help but think this lady can afford to have all her beauty treatments completed in the comfort of her own home by mobile beauticians. She clearly courts publicity when it isn't necessary.
