While some people wear their heart on their sleeve, High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale wears hers on her chest.

The loved up celeb, who recently got engaged to Annie Automatic lead singer Christopher French, was spotted in Los Angeles on her way to a workout on Sunday.

The blonde singer-actress donned a black tank decorated with a multi-coloured heart graphic under a grey zip-front hoodie, paired with cropped grey leggings.

Despite the sweltering heat, Ashley kept her toes cosy in black Ugg boots.

In her left hand she clutched her keys and phone, while the huge square-cut diamond in her engagement ring flashed in the sunshine.

Of course, Ashley's heart really belongs to Christopher, the rocker who surprised her with a romantic proposal on top of the Empire State Building in New York in August after a whirlwind courtship. The couple only started dating in December.

The 28-year-old announced her engagement on Twitter saying, 'Best night of my life. We're on top of the world.'

She recently told People magazine that she wants her wedding to be idyllic.

'I want to make sure it's perfect! But it's going to be a while. I started a Pinterest Board, but I'm not one to rush anything.

'For me, it's stressful just thinking about my birthday so I can't imagine my wedding day!' she said.

The He Said She said singer is also concentrating hard on her career, telling MTV earlier this year that she's working on her third studio album.

Ashley was recently honoured by Benefit Cosmetics to mark the start of New York Fashion Week in September.

Along with Joan Rivers, Chrissy Teigen, Jodie and Danielle Snyder of Dannijo and Stacey Bendet, Ashley was celebrated at the event recognising the accomplishments of strong-minded women.
