They recently waved goodbye to Australia as their mammoth Take Me Home world tour moves on to New Zealand.

But as the sun went down on their last day in Oz, two member of One Direction peeled off their tops and took a dip at the stunning Qualia Resort on Hamilton Island in Queensland.

Indeed, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik showed off their growing collection of tattoos as they waded into the warm water for a dip on Wednesday.

The lads were spotted chilling out with a group of pals the on the last of a three-day break following their final Australian show – a sold out gig at Allphones Arena in Sydney on October 6 – before packing their bags.

Having stripped down to their shorts, Louis and Zayn were in a playful mood as they splashed around while their friends looked on.

At one point Louis, 21, appeared to be overcome by a rare bout of shyness as he protectively covered his tattooed chest with his hands.

Meanwhile 20-year-old Zayn relaxed and took in the view from what is the northern most tip of Hamilton Island, which is surrounded by the Great Barrier Reef.

The band will return to Australia on October 16 for a further 12 shows before closing the tour in Tokyo, where their final two performances take place in November.

On Thursday the busy scheduke seemed to be taking its toll on Harry Styles as the Cheshire-born star was spotted boarding a private jet in Sydney looking tired and drawn.

Head hung and looking hunched, Harry got on the plane bound for New Zealand where the five-piece band are set to play in Christchurch on Thursday night.

Wearing his signature black skinny jeans and suede boots Harry's furrowed brow was visible as he walked from the departure lounge in Sydney airport to the jet.

Harry looked stylish in a long sleeved striped T-shirt and despite the sunny weather in Australia he kept his staple navy peacoat slung over his arm ready for colder climbs in New Zealand.

The star kept his floppy locks tamed under a black backwards baseball cap.

Walking onto the plane Harry's posture looked hunched. Could be from the sheer exhaustion of playing sell out gigs the world over.

Or maybe at 5ft 11" Harry still hasn't got the hang of hopping on and off private jets yet and was worried about banging his head on the door.

Niall Horan and Zayn Malik weren't far behind. But Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne were no where to be seen - possibly already onboard gearing themselves up for the teenage fans awaiting them in New Zealand

The band's Take Me Home Tour, which draws to a close at the end soon, has already seen them play sell out gigs across the UK, Europe and all over the US for most of this year.

But not long now Harry! The boys will finish their world tour in Melbourne on October 30.

Let's hope they get a well deserved rest before promotion for their hotly awaited new album Midnight Memories begins.

The album, out on November 25, will be the group's third after their debut Up All Night and their international smash hit Take Me Home.

Zayn has promised it will be 'sick!'.
