Maternity Grrr! Tamara Ecclestone hides her baby bump in leopard-print jumper

She may be excited about impending motherhood, but Tamara Eccleston's developing baby bump was kept firmly under wraps as she braved central London, today.

The 29 year-old was seen in the affluent district of Chelsea where she enjoyed lunch at popular celeb haunt Scalini, which has previously attracted Anna Friel and Kate Becklinsale.

Wearing a leopard-print jumper with skin-tight satin trousers, the socialite gave no impression of her changing shape as she entered the venue in South Kensington.

With her hair casually curled, she appeared perfectly groomed with a flash of subtle, nude make-up to complete her look.

Chances are she was meeting a friend to discuss the results of her first baby scan, which took place on Monday.

The mother-to-be was joined by her husband Jay Rutland for the occasion, which marks one the first major steps in the process.

Recently, Tamara exclusively revealed to MailOnline that she is hoping her first child will be a baby girl.

She said: 'This has been the best year ever' having married Jay in a lavish ceremony only a few months earlier after a whirlwind romance.

Either way, Tamara hopes that her child - boy or girl - will become best friends with her sister Petra’s baby daughter Lavinia.

‘I want them to be as close as me and my sister. And I would just love to have a little girl who would be super close to Lavinia,' she said.

‘There’s only going to be a year between my baby and Lavinia so that would be amazing. Lavinia is the cutest little pooch in the world. I’m definitely going to find out the sex! I need to know, I need to plan.'

She added: ‘It’s nice to have a surprise, but I couldn’t cope with not knowing for the next six months!'

The heiress and husband Jay , a 31-year-old former stock broker who was banned for insider trading, recently celebrated their baby news with another holiday.

She is due in the first half of 2014.
