Until her Strictly debut this year, she was best remembered for cuddling up to James Bond in a hot tub.

Twenty eight years have passed between then and now and Fiona Fullerton does not appear to have aged a day.

And the secret to her youthful good looks? A budget tub of Nivea.

The Strictly Come Dancing contestant has revealed she has never gone under the knife, and said she wished to grow old gracefully.

In an interview with Hello Magazine this month Miss Fullerton, who turns 57 tomorrow has revealed how being away from the limelight of film and TV meant she did not feel the same ‘pressure’ to look good and have Botox.

As the oldest face remaining on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing the actress was proud to reveal she had never had any work done and claimed she would never have surgery.

Miss Fullerton, who danced the Cha Cha with professional partner Anton du Beck on Saturday night’s show, said the secret to looking young was cheap skincare products by Nivea.

The actress, who admitted she enjoys being pampered behind screens on the BBC1 show, said the beauty tip came from her 81-year-old mother Pamela Fullerton whose skin has remained radiant in old-age thanks to the high street product.

Speaking about her skin care regime the actress said: ‘I am the oldest female on the show and the make-up lady was saying how wonderful it is to see someone hasn’t had anything done.

‘It was a huge compliment, but when you’re not in the business you don’t feel the pressure to go down that road.

‘My mum is 81 and looks amazing –she has never even had a facial in her life.

‘Just cold water and Nivea. I am a Nivea girl too, I embrace old age. I can’t wait to be a granny, I am going to be a groovy granny.’

The Nigerian-born actress is best known for her role as KGB spy Pola Ivanova in the 1985 James Bond film ‘A View to a Kill’.

She swapped life in front of the camera 19 years ago to become a property developer and concentrate on being a mum.

Now back under the BBC1 spotlight Miss Fullerton told how she is enjoying being pampered and has lost a few pounds in training.

She said: ‘I have noticed the difference since starting Strictly.

‘I enjoy the pampering too. What woman doesn’t like having her hair and make-up done?

‘When I was an actress I enjoyed every minute but it feels like another life now, and I don’t miss it.

‘However I danced for 42 years. I did ballet from the age of three to 12 then I started making films. I have done several musicals, but I have never danced in them. It’s all new and exciting.’

Miss Fullerton, who married Neil Shackell in 1994, currently lives in renovated grade II listed vicarage in the Cotswolds which they have placed on the market.

The couple are looking to move to into their double fronted Georgian villa in Cheltenham as Mr Shackell’s son James has now left the home and 17-year-old daughter Lucy is planning to go to university.

Miss Fullerton is not the first celebrity to admit undergoing a simple beauty regime in a bid to look youthful.

Gavin and Stacey’s Alison Steadman also claimed her favourite anti-ageing product was a pot of Nivea Crème costing £3.99.

Pop star Kylie Minogue revealed the secret to maintaining glowing skin in her 40s was the use of  Pond’s Cold Cream.

The £4.49 cream for a 75ml pool in Boots is based on a cleanser used in Greece almost 2,000 years ago – an emulsion of water and certain fats.

Julia Roberts, 46, admitted she used £1.98 supermarket olive oil to keep her skin looking fresh as it contains skin nourishing antioxidants such as vitamins A and E.

Actress Joanna Lumley puts her wrinkle-free visage down to a simple pot of £5.99 Astral moisturiser which she claims she has used since the 1960s.

Dame Helen Mirren once told how she used Optimum’s Swiss Apple Overnight Skin Renewal Serum to fight the wrinkles.

The product was launched by Superdrug in March 2011 following the success among celebrities of a similar product in America.
