Earlier this year he confessed to a recent drink and drugs relapse but this week Ozzy Osbourne showed he’s turned his life around.

The Black Sabbath frontman looked the picture of health and happiness as he was spotted at his hotel in Rio de Janiero.

The Prince of Darkness laughed away as he hung out his balcony in a bathrobe on Wednesday.

Ozzy is in the city to continue Black Sabbath’s South American tour and despite his hectic schedule the 64-year-old showed no sign of tiredness as he hung out with a pal between gigs.

The father of six swapped his usual black attire and heavy eye make-up for a white bath robe as he relaxed and shared a joke with his friend.

Despite his relaxed attire, Ozzy made sure there was a nod to his rocker roots with his black painted nails, whilst a hint of his large collection of tattoos could be glimpsed under his robe.

Earlier this year it was revealed that the singer had slipped back into his old ways, returning to drink and drugs after years of sobriety, before getting clean again in March of this year.

‘There were texts going back months, asking people for drugs and saying "Don’t tell the old girl,"' she wrote. 'It was all there. Everything I knew I’d find but desperately hoped I wouldn’t. My husband was abusing again.’

The outspoken mother stuck by her husband, though and the Black Sabbath frontman apologised for his behaviour on his Facebook page back in April.

'Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing,' he wrote. 'I’m just trying to be a better person.

‘I would like to apologise to Sharon, my family, my friends and my band mates for my insane behaviour during this period… and my fans. God Bless, Ozzy.’

Prince of Darkness: Fans are more used to seeing Ozzy in full on rocker mode

Whilst Ozzy will be on the road with the Black Sabbath world reunion tour until just before Christmas, Sharon will also be kept busy with her return to the X Factor.

The family matriarch is preparing for the first live show this weekend where her Over 25’s girls will compete against acts from her rival judges Nicole Scherzinger, Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh.

Meanwhile Ozzy and Sharon’s son Jack is still going strong on US show Dancing with the Stars where his family have been cheering him on as he shows off his moves with pro partner Cheryl Burke.

Physically he looks fine but what about his mental state? Have you ever heard him talk? It's funny he can still sing but talking is a bit much for him sometime.
