Adele has passed her driving test after seven months of practise.

The 25-year-old singer started lessons back in March because she wants to get a car so she can drive her 12-month-old son Angelo around without having to rely on his dad, her fiancé Simon Konecki.

And all the hard work has clearly paid off because Adele announced on Friday morning that she has gained a British driving license.

Now the Skyfall singer has got a UK license she will also be able to drive a car when she is in the US.

Following Adele's announcement, many celebrities were quick to congratulate her, with Fearne Cotton writing: 'Well done babes.'

Adele had wanted to learn to drive years ago but was put off from getting lessons after her fame increased due to the phenomenal success of her album 21 in 2011.

A source previously said: 'She's never taken a test because of her busy schedule over the past few years.

'She may have various awards to her name but all she wants is her driving test certificate.'

The musician - who is believed to currently be working on new material - will now have no problem taking Angelo to play groups or travelling between her two homes in London and Brighton, South East England.

Last week, Adele took to Twitter to tell her followers about a very important new addition to her jewellery collection.

Adele tweeted after La Verne UK jeweller Cherise Blyth, who is local to the singer's Hove home, crafted a gold necklace for her which read the word 'Mummy', in her own handwriting.

Adele wrote: 'Look at these stunning pieces my friend @LA_VERNEUK made me! That's my handwriting! So personal, so clever x.'

Blyth told The Argus newspaper of the design: 'I developed the technique myself so the gold writing is unique and individual each time - even a second copy of the same handwriting would be different.'

I just, for the life of me, cannot work out why Fearne Cotton is included in this picture. Love Adele, though.
