They met on Resident Evil, and on Thursday Milla Jovovich and Paul W. S. Anderson were the resident hip couple at Isabel Marant's LA boutique's one year anniversary.

The husband and wife looked cool in trousers and blazers as they rocked up to the opening, with Paul wrapping a loving arm around his Ukrainian-born wife.

Carrying an Isabel Marant clutchbag, Milla, 37, was ready to party, and share all the fun on her Instagram profile.

Throughout the evening, Jovovich posted videos and photos of herself and the guests attending the fashionable event.

The former model wore an animal print T-shirt tucked into grey tapered trousers, with a black tuxedo jacket and pointed heels, while her husband opted for a white shirt and skinny black tie combo, with a grey blazer and skinny black jeans.

Paul, 48, and Milla - who have a five-year old daughter called Ever Gabo - weren't the only cinematic names at the event, as soon-to-be Fifty Shades Of Grey star Dakota Johnson was in attendance.

Dakota hung out with Milla, even allowing The Fifth Element star to record an Instagram video of her, and they also enjoyed the party with the actress's long-time friend, the musician Chris Brenner, as well as Tony Ward, the male model who dated Madonna during the '90s.

Jovovich also captured videos of the night's entertainment in the form of Californian indie electro rock band Warpaint.

The all-girl four-piece - made up of Emily Kokal, Theresa Wayman, Jenny Lee Lindberg and Stella Mozgawa - played music from their debut album The Fool and new music, which went down well with their VIP fans.

Milla tweeted: 'My girls from #warpaint playing at the #isabelmarant store opening. #siiiiick'.

Interestingly, the original line-up of Warpaint - who formed nine years ago on Valentine's Day - included actress Shannyn Sossamon, who is the sister of bassist Jenny Lee.

Shannyn played drums but left the band in 2008 to focus on her movie career, with a few session drummers filling her spot until Stella bacame her permanent replacement.

Theresa - who starred with Sossamon in the screen adaption of Bret Easton Ellis' The Rules Of Attraction - currently dates British electronic singer and producer James Blake.

Since the release of The Fool in 2010, Warpaint have been working on new material, and during that process director Chris Cunningham has been filming and photographing the band along the way.

The resulting documentary Love Is To Die is expected to be released soon, no doubt to coincide with their new album.
