How Kris Jenner was 'insanely jealous' of Bruce's ex-wife Linda Thompson... who he rekindled friendship with before announcing split

After Kris and Bruce Jenner announced that they were ending their 22 year marriage, it seemed that having a family in the spotlight had finally taken its toll on their relationship.

However it appears that there are other factors at play, and now reports have emerged that Bruce’s friendship with his ex-wife rocked the couple’s marriage.

According to the reports the former couple, both 63, who have sons Brody and Brandon together, have been spending a lot more time with each other in recent months.

‘Bruce has been spending a lot of time with Linda and the boys in Malibu over the last few months,’ a source told Radar Online.

‘Linda has lived in Malibu for decades and leads a very normal life, away from the spotlight — the opposite of the Kardashians and Jenners.’

The insider claims that Kris, 57, is ‘insanely jealous’ of her estranged husband’s ex and allegedly didn’t want them spending much time together.

‘Linda has always wanted to be friends with Bruce, but Kris wouldn’t allow it,’ the source claimed. ‘She would give him so much grief about spending time away from their daughters, Kendall and Kylie. Bruce felt guilty and just didn’t pursue it.

‘He wishes he could have done things differently, but he can’t change it now. Bruce knows that all he can do moving forward is be there for his sons, now.’

And Brandon, 32, and Brody, 30, are apparently ‘happy to finally be able to spend time with their parents together, after all of these years’.

While the former couple’s friendship appears to be blossoming, they are not on the way to rekindling their relationship, according to the report, but Kris allegedly is still not happy.

‘It’s not sitting well with Kris that Bruce has been spending time with Linda. There is nothing romantic going on between the two at this time.

‘However, Bruce has always had a special place in his heart for Linda and admires what an amazing mother she is to their sons.’

Linda, who famously dated Elvis Presley before meeting and marrying Bruce from 1982 until 1984, starred in a short-lived reality show of her own.

The former Miss Tennessee and her two sons and husband of the time David Foster had a show called Princes Of Malibu.

However Linda filed for divorce from David the day after the series premiered, and it was cancelled after airing just two episodes.

Fans of Keeping Up With The Kardashians will remember that Kris’ secret meeting with her own ex Todd Waterman caused a strain on her marriage to Bruce.

The Olympian and the momager, who tied the knot in 1991, confirmed earlier this week that they have been separated for a year.

The pair told Us Weekly on Monday: 'We are living apart. But there is no animosity. We are united and committed to our family.'

It must have been one black loo roll to far for him! Genuinely don't blame the guy for doing a runner from Kris. Every time she knows she is having her photograph taken you can almost see the $$ in her eyes. All from her daughter's sex tape too. How delightful, not.

Bruce was such a handsome man in his day. I remember when he won the decathlon, and the Wheeties cover. Now, it is just a crime what has happened to his face. I cannot believe he would think the plastic surgery was a good thing.
