Christian Louboutin is introducing a capsule collection of heels that promises to elongate your legs by matching the color of your skin.

Five classic Louboutin styles have been re-imagined in five shades ranging from a fair blush to rich chestnut, which aim to 'closely match the color of a customer's skin tone'.

'They disappear like magic and become a fluid extension of her legs, as in a sketch, elongating the silhouette,' said Mr Louboutin.

'The shoes are there to give the woman an extra lift, not to take attention away from the legs and what she is wearing,' he added.

Sold exclusively at Christian Louboutin boutiques, the styles in the Nudes collection includes the point toe Pigalle, the curvier Fifi and Simple Pump, as well as the Flo and the signature hidden platform of the Vendome peep toe pump.

How the designer decided on each of the five shoe shades was not made clear, but in order to find your closest match, the French shoe maker has launched a Louboutin Shades App which enables the user to take a photo of their foot and match a shade of nude to their skin tone.

To celebrate the arrival of the collection in stores this month, the Nudes will be featured in Christian Louboutin windows at the Madison and Robertson boutiques.

Silly. Get an affordable pair of comfortable pumps in a neutral shade, get shoe dye that matches the skin on your legs. Store with dyes in stock will work better than on-line until you find a shade you like. DIY.

Sorry nude shoes are ugly no matter what the media says. They remind me of my Gram.

I've already got a pair that matches my skin tone, and I could probably have found shoes to match me even if I were another shade. There are shoes in every color of the rainbow and human skin out there, and they don't cost as much as a pair of Louboutins -- but are often just as well made and designed.
