I used to work as an assistant professor in Mathematics and Computer Science at Saint Joseph's University, and have earned a Doctorate in Applied Math and Computational Sciences from the University of Iowa. In May 2006, I took a leave from SJU and started working on the site full-time and have since resigned from SJU. I would be happy to discuss this site or other baseball issues with members of the media or other baseball-related companies. To set up a phone call please e-mail me at sf@sports-reference.com. I will make every effort to return your e-mail within 24 hours, though that sometimes may not be possible.

Baseball-Reference.com

Baseball-Reference.com was first launched on February 1, 2000. I was disappointed with not being able to find historical baseball statistics on the web and I was not convinced that existing sites were effectively utilizing the hyperconnected environment of the web. BR.com is still mostly a one-man operation, but it has grown significantly in size and stature since its launch, and now is well over fifteen million page views a month. I am always looking for new ideas and suggestions and would be happy to consider colloborations with other websites, though my time constraints often prevent me from taking part in all of the ventures I would like to. Please either e-mail me or use the feedback form.
