Who's the funny one now? Jerry Seinfeld bursts out laughing while grabbing pastries with Tina Fey

He's one of comedy's greatest living legends.

But Jerry Seinfeld may have found his match in Tina Fey as the two headed to a local bakery in the Soho neighbourhood of New York on Thursday.

The 59-year-old sitcom icon was spotted bursting into an explosive fit of laughter as Tina appeared to be entertaining him with her famous banter during the friendly get-together.

The 43-year-old Saturday Night Live alum was clearly pleased with her effect on the Seinfeld star as she smiled to herself whilst carrying an armload of baked goods from the upmarket shop.

Jerry was similarly weighed down with pastries as he trailed behind Tina, who seemed to be taking the lead in the day of palling around.

Holding a to-go cup of coffee in her left hand, the mother-of-two wistfully looked heavenward as she got the stand up comedian busting into an unstoppable chuckle.

The Bossy Pants author showed off her slim legs in a pair of skinny jeans as she stomped around in a pair of ankle boots.

Keeping warm in the autumn temperatures of the Big Apple, Tina wore a red long sleeve shirt and a black blazer.

Clearly in a good mood the veteran comedy writer kept her brunette locks in loose flowing waves over her shoulders for the casual errand.

A lot to talk about: The pair surely had a lot to chat about considering that both of them are considered legends in the comedy world

Seinfeld for his part wore a similar getup.

The former sitcom star stayed comfortable in Nike trainers and denim trousers.

Wearing a clean white collared shirt he cut a dashing figure in a coal grey sports coat as he chatted with his fellow funny person.

After successfully purchasing their snacks the duo looked to be thrilled as they strolled side by side down the street and were then spotted getting into a vintage car together.

But Tina also has the better of Jerry in the Emmy department.

While the Seinfeld co-creator was nominated numerous times for the television award he only nabbed the best comedy series gong once in 1993.

Tina, on the other hand, has garnered three best comedy series awards for her hit NBC show 30 Rock with her first accolade in 2007.

It bemuses me why they have to explain what they're wearing, um, we can see what they're wearing. Jerry is a really funny man and I love seeing Tina making him laugh like that.

Why is Jerry going shopping with another woman? Maybe he wanted to hear a pleasant female voice rather than the whiny princess at home. Jeeery, I'm going to bake some browneeees. I once heard her on an episode of Regis making brownies, and I thought it was Jimmy Fallon doing his "Ew" skit.
