She has been admired for her voluptuous figure ever since her days as a Baywatch babe.

And off screen Pamela Anderson is renowned for wearing an array of skimpy outfits that show off her bombshell curves.

But the 46-year-old actress turned heads for very different reasons as she stepped out in Los Angeles on Thursday looking completely different from her usual self.

The blonde star was seen at the Brentwood Country Mart looking incredibly ladylike in a demure floral tea dress.

The star's famous figure was completely covered up in the pretty short sleeved white dress which had a very modest neckline and fell elegantly just below her knees. 

In keeping with the rather prim and proper look the mother of two teamed the dress with a pair of sensible black ballet pumps.

With her platinum locks unstyled and flowing loosely and minimal make-up, Pam looked every inch the suburban housewife as opposed to the blonde bombshell the public know and love.

The actress seemed to have enjoyed quite the shopping spree as she was laden down with several bags from the high end boutique Calypso.

And it was perhaps the combination of Pam's demure outfit and the several shopping bags that may have turned onlookers heads as the actress enjoyed her solo outing.

The former Baywatch star has been struggling financially since racking up a huge amount of debt with various construction companies after her renovations on her Malibu home took longer and cost more than anticipated.

The actress reportedly also owes several hundred thousands of dollars in unpaid taxes leaving her total debt in excess of $1 million.

Pam admitted in June 2013, 'I am in over my head a lot. I take a lot of risks. I live beyond my means'.

And it certainly seemed from her shopping spree that Pamela was not skimping on her wardrobe despite her money woes.

Of course given that she has recently reunited with her ex-husband Rick Salomon, it may be that her beau is footing the bill to keep his lady in style.

The former couple - who were seen enjoying a holiday in the South of France last week - were married in 2007 but their nuptials lasted a mere ten weeks and was eventually annulled.

However, the duo seem to have kissed and made-up as they have been seen together looking every inch a couple in love.

Leave Pammie alone to age gracefully. It is difficult enough for all of us but when you are in the public eye and have been a glamorous beauty for so long it must be difficult to get used to. I for one wish her well.
