Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner welcome a baby boy... and proud grandfather Donald announces the news via Twitter

Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner welcomed a baby boy on Monday.

And it wasn't the new parents who announced the news, but the baby's grandfather and Ivanka's dad Donald.

'My beautiful daughter Ivanka just had a healthy baby boy. Jared and Ivanka are very proud!' tweeted the 67-year-old business mogul.

The little boy is the second child for the couple, who are parents to two-year-old daughter Arabella.

Donald, who already has five grandchildren, followed up his initial tweet with another message thanking fans for their well-wishes.

'Thanks to all for the wonderful congratulation sent to me on the birth of Ivanka's little boy - so nice!' he tweeted.

Ivanke, 31, said recently that she hoped the birth of her second child would be as smooth sailing as her first.

'With Arabella I was lucky - I had her within two hours of starting contractions. I'm sure I won't get so lucky again this time, but that would be a great birth plan!' she told Fit Pregnancy magazine earlier this month,

Meanwhile, the entrepreneur recently spoke to the Wall Street Journal about the challenge of dressing her bump in style.

Challenge: Ivanka has wowed with her sleek style during her pregnancy, but did admit that she struggled to dress her bump, pictured in NYC earlier this month

'You spend the better part of your youth experimenting and trying to find a style that fits your body type, and all that gets thrown out the window.'

'Your style has to evolve at around five months,' she admitted to the paper.

When she tried to dress for her last pregnancy she was disappointed with what was out there.

'Maternity wear really makes you look much more pregnant than non-maternity wear,' she insists.

One of the beauty's tips is to wear a blazer which she says is 'key—a great blazer in white or black does a great job in terms of creating a better silhouette than a boxy dress.'
