Lea was absolutely jaw-dropping in a white cut-out dress with elegant long sleeves and a flattering mini-skirt bottom, showing off her toned legs.

Her long dark tresses were styled in neat curls as she struck a pose in the doorway with her design team - who she described as 'team L.M.' - all seated proudly behind her.

The pretty actress, who plays Rachel Berry in the hit Fox series, was eager to share her well-deserved excitement with her fans.

'So excited because today I'm shooting the cover for my album! Working with the amazing photographer Peggy Sirota!' Lea told her four million followers earlier on Saturday morning.

The star has been working on her debut album for a while now, and she confirmed via Twitter that she was almost finished in early June.

'You bet I am! And it's almost done... :)' Lea tweeted, when celebrity blogger Perez Hilton asked her if she was in the studio recording a new album.

This week alone would have been an immensely difficult one for the actress, as Cory Monteith's Glee tribute episode was aired on Thursday.

Speaking ahead Thursday, Lea told TV Week Australia, 'For me personally, I’ve lost two people: Cory and Finn.'

The emotional episode, the third of Season 5, drew in 7.4m viewers and beat the season premiere, which saw 5.06m tune in.

There was a heartbreaking moment captured as Lea burst into tears while she sang a tribute to him as her character, Rachel Berry.

It was not specified at any point during the episode how Finn Hudson (Cory's character) had died.

In reality, actor Cory Monteith passed away from a heroin and alcohol overdose in a Vancouver hotel in July - at the age of just 31.
