The pair spent the weekend in Newport, Rhode Island for a friend's wedding.
And the trip appeared to have bonded Jessica Simpson and her fiance Eric Johnson even more as they arrived at the Los Angeles International Airport arm-in-arm, on Sunday.
The couple have been engaged for nearly three years, but have put off their impending nuptials to bring two beautiful children into the world - Maxwell Drew and Ace Knute.

The romantic celebration certainly put the 33-year-old singer and fashion designer in a cuddly mood as she beamed an irrepressible smile whilst clutching her bearded man's arm.
Wearing her blonde locks swept over her face the famous mother looked to have dropped most of her pregnancy weight after giving birth to her second child Ace Knute in June.
Sporting dark sunglasses the I Belong To Me singer donned stiletto boots and black skinny jeans for the day of travel.

Completing her ensemble was a silver and black blazer as she stayed comfy in a loose deep necked shirt.
Her former NFL tightend beau went for a simpler look in brown chinos, matching loafers, and a simple button down top and blue T-shirt.
The greying retired football player showed off his peppered bristles as he led his famous fiancee toward their waiting car after the long flight.

Jessica
seemed to have reveled in the weekend of family and friends, posting a snap from the celebration to her Twitter, on Saturday.
The mother-of-two shared a happy portrait of herself standing alongside a pretty blonde woman, who was presumably Eric's mother as Jessica described her as her 'future mother-in-law'.
'Beautiful morning with my future mother-in-law and MoJo to my babies,' she wrote alongside the photo.

Jessica was at the sunny spot for the weekend to see her publicist Lauren Auslander get married in a stunning ceremony by the sea.
She was a picture of happiness as she relaxed with friends and loved ones, having given birth only three months ago to her second child, Ace Knute.
'With two kids, we have our hands full, but every day is a new adventure,' Jessica recently told Us Weekly, on the topic of motherhood. 'It's fun! I feel very at peace with being a mom.'
Jessica has yet to wed her football player fiance Eric, though the pair became engaged in 2010.
