Looks like her fiance Jesse Metcalfe missed out on a fun-filled day.

Getting in the spirit of October and Halloween, Cara Santana spent Monday at Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in West Hollywood, California.

The 28-year-old actress picked out pumpkins just in time, seeming to have an array to choose from before all the good ones got snatched.

Joining the Reunion star was her female friend Katherine and the girls' tiny pups, Cleo and Dexter, who were treated like VIPs, being carried half the duration of their day trip.

It seemed tricky to handle the pumpkins and the pets, but with the help of a caged wagon, the girls managed.

And their appropriate footwear was sure to be useful, both opting to wear boots to take on the straw-covered ground.

The brunette beauty looked cute in a floral-printed blouse featuring a lacy neckline, distressed denim jeans, and buckled black boots.

But her gal pal was rather dressed up, wearing a sheer dress with taupe boots, surely not prepared for dirty work.

Having a muscular built, Jesse could have been useful, but the couple are seen together plenty.

They started dating in 2009 and had been living together for three years prior to Jesse's proposal.

'I wouldn’t say it was love at first sight,' Jesse told YourTango.com. 'It was more of a slow burn, which I think is a better start for a relationship. I think if it comes on fast and furious, it generally fizzles out just as fast. We were slow and steady.'

Cara chimed in: 'We took the time to get to know each other. We’ve known each other for like 10 years.'
