'Soppy Shane' Warne sends tweet nothings to Elizabeth Hurley as their romance is back on track

Elizabeth Hurley and Shane Warne have played out every soppy love declaration to a combined twitter following of 1.7million people.

Then it went a bit quiet. The deafening silence, punctuated only by a couple of cryptic messages from the pair, led us to believe the romance was over.

But Warne or 'Soppy Shane' as he now called himself on Twitter has broken the drought tweeting: 'Night from Jaipur India,going to bed with romantic thoughts about my fiancée @ElizabethHurley. We are a great team.'

Could it be the couple are back together? The 48-year-old actress couldn't stop smiling on Tuesday as she left her house in London today wearing Uggs and a gillet for a laid back but chic look.

Maybe she's still beaming after Shane surprised her on set of her new TV series The Royals at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, reportedly flying in from Australia especially to keep her company.

Laughing and joking with each other in between scenes, the pair looked as though they were well and truly back on track after a turbulent few months.

According to reports Liz had called off her engagement to the star because he wouldn't confirm a wedding date. It has also been suggested that Mr Warne's continued friendship with his ex-wife Simone was the reason behind the differences that have erupted between the cricketer and Liz.

Warne and ex-wife Simone split in 2005 amid allegations that the sportsman had been unfaithful.

However, just two years later, the pair gave their relationship another go after Simone decided to take him back.

Their split was later confirmed in 2010, when Shane debuted his romance with Elizabeth. A year later the couple got engaged.

While Elizabeth appeared to confirm she and the cricketer were no longer together by telling her followers; 'Apologies to loyal followers for Twitter silence on recent events. Too raw and personal to share right now.'

Warne seemed to directly contradict her by insisting that the pair hadn't 'thrown in the towel just yet'.

Shane wrote: 'Some of the reports re EH & me r absolute rubbish. Yes, we're sorting through some (private) issues. But we're not throwing the towel in yet.'

And after weeks of upset it looks as though the pair are finally making amends.

Wearing a pillar box red dress, Liz looked gorgeous as she and Shane stood next to each other in between takes for her role of Queen Helena in the fictional TV programme due to air on the E! Network.

Covering up from the chilly Autumn chill, she wore a black puff jacket over the top and covered her feet up with a pair of comfy UGG boots.

And it seemed that Shane, 44, could not help but fly over before heading to India, dressed in a smart-casual ensemble pair of grey trousers, white polo top, black jumper and black desert boots.

Later on Liz wrote on her Twitter page that she was shivering in her trailer "eating a sausage sandwich with lots of ketchup," to which Shane replied: "I'm tucked up in bed watching movies in Pune - jealous? Wish u were next to me as one of our favourites is on next!!"

Clearly a sweet message to go to her but haven't they heard of text messages, emails, phone calls....? Why tweet it, broadcasting it to the world? I just can't understand when people play their relationships out like this. Very very odd. Very exhibitionist and shows little/no perception of a public vs private self, which is a pathological issue that they should seek professional help. (And I don't meant it in a nasty or critical way, but I just find this practice a bit worrying and concerning from a psychological health perspective irrespective if the person is a celeb or an average Jo/Joe).
