Buff and tough Chad Johnson flexes his six-pack on set of gritty new film Overtown

Chad Johnson plays a character from the wrong side of the tracks in this real life-inspired story.

The 35-year-old NFL player-turned-actor seemed to be generating more attention for his bare sculpted torso on the set of the low-budget film Overtown on Monday.

Chad was clad in grey track trousers and minus a shirt as he hung out with the crew between scenes in Miami, Florida.

The only other accessories were a gold pendant necklace and a blue towel that had draped across his broad shoulders.

He's strong physique comes no doubt from years playing wide receiver for football teams such as the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots.

Formerly known as Chad Ochocinco, the actor's head was shaven clean and shiny, while his glee at being in front of the camera was evident by the wide smile and easygoing nature.

Providing more testosterone fuel on set was co-star Vinnie Jones, former British footballer now famous for his tough guy roles in such movies as Snatch and Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels.

Like Chad, the 48-year-old Swordfish star had a smooth head while looking dangeorously dapper in black trousers, black vest and burgundy dress shirt.

The film's casting agent LaShawnna Stanley tells Miami New Times that Overtown is 'a story about three unlikely friends who come from different racial backgrounds with one thing in common: surviving the streets of Overtown, one of Miami's grittiest neighborhoods.'

The three main characters become 'seduced by Miami's nightlife and drug trade, they get mixed up in it all and lose a lot along the way - mostly their innocence, naiveté, and dreams.'
