She is spotted jet-setting around the world as one of the most in-demand models, but maybe space is the next place Cara Delevingne wants to go, if her recent outfit choice is anything to go by.

The 21-year-old chose what looked like a children's space helmet when she arrived for her DKNY photoshoot on Tuesday.

The stunning star was seen indulging in some on-set nibbles while wearing the unusual headgear, after attracting a large audience in New York.

The British-born model looked fabulous in a loose-fitting grey mac, which featured a waterfall collar and deep pockets.

Cara also showed off her long pins in a knee-length sheer dress, but luckily her top half was covered up in a simple grey jumper.

Her look was kept young and fun, with a pair of Velcro, white wedged trainers, which made the star look even taller.

Cara didn't let her space helmet stop her from getting to the nibbles, before parading through the streets carrying a stunning white DKNY handbag for the cool shoot.

Her hair was left down over her shoulders while her make-up was kept simple, showing off her natural beauty.

The star tweeted a photo to her followers of her wearing an American football jersey, and yet another helmet on Monday.

Cara, who was spotted chowing down on some fries from McDonalds earlier in the day, has previously put her love of burgers down to the fact that she needs to eat regularly in order not to feel faint.

She regularly tweets about her love of the golden arches, writing recently: 'First thing I do when I get to America… get a McDonalds.'

While Cara has been working hard on the shoot in Times Square, she was seen looked slightly bored in between takes. 

Wearing a black and white printed jumper over a white shirt and shorts, Cara was seen chatting on her mobile phone while sitting on top of a yellow cab.

Maybe they were staring, amazed at the amount of make-up she wore - look at the close up photos. The brows are so dark, like they put spoonfuls of soot on them.
