'I don't care what I look like!' Rebel Wilson vows not to change for Hollywood

She has endured cruel taunts about her body, but Rebel Wilson wants to let everyone know she is confident just the way she is.

Being one of the more curvacious woman in Hollywood, the 27-year-old Australian is bucking the trend in Tinsel Town.

And while other girls with curves dress sizes have plummeted as soon as their star rises, the Australian says she is not going to be a weight loss advocate any time soon.

Appearing on Extra on the set of her new series Super Fun Night Rebel - who writes, stars in and produces the show - said while she might not look like most female stars on television, she focuses on being healthy and that is what matters.

The star said she is comfortable in her own skin: 'Even though I’m on a TV show, I don’t really care what I look like that much and I think women out there should just be happy with the way they look.

'They shouldn’t really try to conform to any kind of stereotype. Just be happy and hopefully healthy.

'You see other actresses who are like, ''Oh I can’t really eat much lunch today because I’ve got that scene in my underwear.'' I’m a little bit chill. 

'But you know what you do need is stamina. I don’t ever want to be too unhealthy because writing in a show, starring and producing you need a lot of energy.'

While Rebel did sign up to be the face of Australian Jenny Craig - but had to back out to maintain her size for hit film Pitch Perfect - do not expect her to to do a Jennifer Hudson and sign on the US company.

'What’s interesting is when you sign deals to be in TV shows or movies, you can’t really change your appearance. So if I wanted to do a Britney or shave my head, I couldn’t really do that.

'I did in Australia try to do a campaign. Didn’t quite work out.'

The 27-year-old often faces questions regarding her appearance, but not always because of her weight.

Rebel revealed at first it was hard to convince people she could play her Super Fun Night character, Kimmie Boubier, a newly promoted junior attorney at a New York law firm.

'When they tested the show early on they were like ''I don’t think Rebel could be a lawyer,'' and I go, ''But I am!'''

And she is not just saying that.

'I really have two degrees from University, an arts degree and a law degree. If I never went in to international stardom, perhaps I would have become a lawyer.'

Fans have not however, been entirely convinced with her performance as it the show's ratings have slipped since its premiere.

Not that it can slow down Rebel, who already has her eye on a special co-star.

When asked for who she would pick, the star said with missing a beat: 'Channing Tatum, potential love interest.'

I think she's great, but she can't pretend she's healthy. She's morbidly obese in clinical terms.

Being that obese can not be healthy in any way! She is quite young, when she gets older the extra pounds will surely affect her health. She is not even that great as an actor - she seems to always play the same character and is not even funny!

I stopped reading this sort of dross for 6 months and it made me a much happier young person. After reading all the horrible and vacuous comments, I don't think I will come back again. - Ella, London, 17/10/2013 11:34 I'm sorry this has been your experience, but you're right most people on here are vicious and nasty and say horrible things because they're miserable with their own lives. They believe themselves to be superior to everyone else, but take one look at the comments, you can see that a lot of the people on here have very low intellect, so I wouldn't bother with what they say. Don't let ignorance get you down!

Lets see if she feels the same when she gets type 2 diabetes, if she hasn't already, and then as a massive heart attack at 40, this is not a healthy size to be the DM should stop glamourizing the FAT !!!!!
