He's her number one! Charlize Theron scoops son Jackson up into her arms as they enjoy a day of bonding after actress lunches with mystery man

She may have fixed all of her attention on a mystery man when they dined in Los Feliz earlier this week.

But on Wednesday, Charlize Theron's main focus was on the number one man in her life, her son Jackson.

The actress was seen scooping her adorable little boy up into her arms for a cuddle as they stepped out in Los Angeles.

While Jackson is growing up fast, the Monster star had no problem picking her youngster up thanks to her well-earned arm muscles.

In fact Charlize appeared to had just come from a workout, as she was seen wearing a pair of sporty tracksuit bottoms, a loose-fitting tank with the words 'City Of Angels' emblazoned across the front and a pair of trainers.

Make-up free, the Prometheus star showed off her flawless and almost line-free complexion, merely shielding her eyes with a pair of black sunglasses.

Meanwhile, Jackson was as cute as a button in a printed 'Good Times' T-shirt, a pair of grey shorts and tiny brown and beige trainers.

Charlize took her little man with her to grab a cup of coffee, and when they exited the cafe Jackson exuberantly ran ahead of her.

The mother and son outing comes after Charlize was seen going on a lunch date with a handsome mystery man earlier in the week on Monday.

The blonde beauty was seen enjoying the company of the bearded man at Italian restaurant Little Dom's in Los Feliz.

The pair opted for a window seat at the popular eatery, with Charlize laughing and grinning as she allegedly enjoyed pasta and white wine.

The currently single star, who adopted Jackson in May last year, broke off her engagement to Irish actor Stuart Townsend in 2010.

While she has been linked to Prince Harry and Keanu Reeves in the past, Charlize spent nine years with Stuart, with whom she starred in 2002's Trapped and later Head in the Clouds (2004).

She was most recently linked to Modern Family actor Eric Stonestreet.

Charlize previously said she does not regret her decision to adopt a child alone, saying: 'You know, I don't think any mother aims to be a single mom.

'I didn't wish for that, but it happened. I always knew I would adopt. Always.'
