Alain De Botton may have wanted Harry Styles to educate his fans in Greek philosophy, but maybe he's not the most switched on teacher.

The One Direction star Instagrammed a picture of his shoes with the labels 'left' and 'right' stuck onto the corresponding foot.

With the caption 'confused I get sometimes', Harry reveals that he finds it difficult to put on shoes, and that he's a bit of a Yoda fan.

Luckily there is a team of people around him who can help him through this troubling affliction, so when he takes to the stage with his bandmates, he's not tripping over his feet.

And on Thursday, the group were headed back to the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne to perform once more to their Australian fans.

The Down Under leg of their worldwide tour is the final continent for the band who have already visited Europe, North America and Asia.

So it’s no surprise that One Direction looked a little worn out as they greeted fans at the stadium on Wednesday andThursday.

The boys appeared in good spirits as they smiled and waved at fans who were no doubt thrilled to get an early glimpse of their idols.

Harry Styles, 19, wore  a textured black shirt worn over a black T-shirt, which had several buttons undone to reveal one of the singer’s many tattoos.

He added several gold cross chains in addition to his silver rings, while he wore his curly hair slicked back.

He also wore black skinny trousers and completed his rocker look with tan coloured suede boots.

Liam Payne meanwhile wore a casual outfit of a white T-shirt which showed off his light tan, which was teamed with baggy low-slung jeans and brown boots.

The 20-year-old star carried a navy baseball cap in one hand, perhaps keen not to crumple his freshly-styled hair.

The rest of the band favoured a sporty look, with Niall Horan, 20, Louis Tomlinson, 21, and Zayn Malik, 20, wearing casual black outfits.

The band will leave Australia at the end of the month and will finish their world tour in Tokyo, at the start of November.

The boys are also set to go back to their roots, with a special performance on The X Factor, the show that turned them into superstars.

The group came third in the 2010 series of the show and now they will perform on upcoming live show, singing their new single Story of My Life while promoting third studio album Midnight Memories, the Daily Mirror reports.

Pre-orders for the album, which is due to be released in November, have made it the fastest-selling album on UK Amazon in 15 years.

Meanwhile sources close to Harry Styles claim that the star is desperate to come back to the UK and craves time apart from the band.

A source told Heat magazine: ‘He suffers from terrible homesickness and exhaustion towards the end of a tour.

'He often wakes his personal trainer Mark in the middle of the night because he's so lonely that he'd prefer them to work out together than be on his own.'

The source added: 'He wants people to chill with away from the band.’

Too stupid to dress himself properly and this is a person that we have elevated to super-celeb status... This world is on a fast track downward spiral

I'm sorry, but anyone "too busy" to know how to correctly put on his shoes is not "too busy", rather "too stupid".

I've worked in wardrobe - during quick changes, everyone is flustered and flapping about and you need to be super fast. Shoes on wrong feet are not unusual - it's faster to name them like this!
