Kaley Cuoco got fans all in a tither thanks to a cheeky Instagram photo she posted on Thursday.

The actress, who announced her engagement to boyfriend Ryan Sweeting at the end of September, captioned the image of her sitting in a white wedding dress complete with veil, 'It's my wedding day!!!!'

The Big Bang Theory star sent the rumour mill into overdrive as to a possible shotgun wedding, however, the pretty blonde was obviously well aware of the kind of reaction it could cause, thus adding the hashtags #theweddingringer and #fakeweddingcalmdown to her comment.

Also possibly trying to avoid making a mountain out of a molehill, the 27-year-old posted the picture to her second Instagram account, under which she goes by the interesting moniker Norman Cook.

Of course, Kaley is currently shooting new movie The Wedding Ringer alongside actor and comedian Kevin Hart.

While the starlet undoubtedly looks sweet in the strapless 'costume' that features a pretty, delicate lace overlay, you can bet she'll be wearing something far more elaborate and exclusive when she walks down the aisle in real life.

You can also be sure that she won't risk spilling yoghurt on her gown, that will likely carrying a hefty price tag, as she's seen spooning a creamy Yoplait into her mouth somewhat seductively in the shot.

Not that she and the 26-year-old professional tennis player will be tying the knot anytime soon.

Speaking to reporters at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in LA on October 5 she revealed the couple are 'too busy to wedding-plan'.

'In a year, we will start talking about it. We are enjoying being engaged,' she insisted.

And enjoying being engaged they certainly are.

The star proudly flashed her gleaming platinum sparkler for all to see as she posed alongside her fiancé, before the pair indulged in some rather heavy PDA.
