Rihanna knows how to grab an audience without even humming a tune.

The singer was in the captivating state of under dress as she took to the stage on Wednesday in Cape Town, South Africa as part of her Diamonds World Tour.

Rihanna was wearing a tiny pair of leopard-print shorts that showed off her shapely, toned legs and much of her rounded bottom as well.

Her satiny black jacket carried the same wild theme down the sleeves while her raven-black hair was pitched into a glorious disarray.

Rihanna had the first and the last dance in this one-woman show that had her spectators no doubt begging for more.

'$old OWT $tadium tonight !!! Thank you #CAPETOWN I'll remember you,' the singer tweeted in gratitude.

Rihanna appeared to be making the most of it, dancing around the stage in her black high-top trainers and shaking her behind whenever she got the chance.

At one point the 25-year-old Barbadian dropped down to her knee, dipped her head low and sang high into the microphone.

It was a day of celebration as she unveiled the artwork for her new single cover, writing in the caption: '#WHATNOW Brand new single cover!! #Unapologetic.'

In stark contrast to her concert attire, the new cover for her latest Unapologetic single features Rihanna in a black, flowing, low-cut frock over a black slip, and other than the V-neckline the outfit conceals most of her figure.

Rihanna is also pictured wearing a heavy cross necklace and lacy black scarf around her slim throat and bracelets around her wrists.

Earlier she took to her Twitter account to show off a revealing T-shirt - and a hint of side boob action too - along with long denim skirt.

'Sunny daze in Cape town by @gomillionandleupold,' Rihanna wrote.

In a change of pace, the entertainer took time out on Tuesday to soak up the local atmosphere by visiting Cape Town's V&A Waterfront's Aquarium with her family.

She cannot have 'bared her derriere' if she was wearing hotpants. And I am tired of seeing derriere used to describe an anatomical feature which can be perfectly politely called a bottom. Why is 'boob' acceptable and bottom not acceptable?

show got an average rating of 6 out of 10 on local radio this morning by concert goers... we don't get a lot of acts here, so there is always huge attendance, but many were sorely disappointed by lip syncing and a lacklustre performance....
