He has said in the past that he allows his wife Miranda Lambert to check up on him to maintain trust.

But it remains to be seen how the Pistol Annies frontwoman feels about her husband Blake Shelton being in the company of blonde actress Lindsey Sporrer, while attending Usher's 35th birthday bash at Bootsy Bellows on Monday night.

The Voice coach, 37, was snapped with the 20-something starlet, grinning with his arm around her in one of two Instagram images.

The blonde Wilhelmina model looked fetching for her evening outing in a low-cut crop-top and patterned mini-skirt.

'I'm not a big partier but I was invited to @Usher's birthday,' Lindsey captioned one of the snaps.

'Didn't expect to chat here with a super sweet guy with a super thick Oklahoma accent...I felt our pic required the Nashville filter.'

Sporrer was crowned Miss South Carolina Teen USA back in 2004 and has since appeared on TNT's Franklin & Bash and ABC's Castle.

On Thursday, the leggy lady began filming her role as Pierce Brosnan's student/love interest Misty in How to Make Love Like an Englishman.

The upcoming romantic comedy also stars Salma Hayek and Jessica Alba.

Meanwhile, there was no sign of Blake's Grammy-winning wife Miranda at Usher's party.

Back in March, Shelton was rumoured to be getting a little too close to 23-year-old singer Cady Groves after posting a series of flirty Tweets.

'Hey @mirandalambert… I just read in a tabloid that our marriage is falling apart! FOCK!' Blake sarcastically tweeted to his wife at the time.

Lambert then responded: 'Oh no! Can't wait to read if we make it or not!'

Two months later, the three-time Voice champ told People magazine he allows Miranda to check up on him to maintain trust.

'[I tell Miranda], "I have nothing to hide from you,"' the four-time Grammy nominee revealed.

'That's always been our policy: "Here's my phone. Go through it." That's really the kind of trust we have. There are no secrets. [I'll say,] "Go dig through my drawers or my computer if you feel like you need to." And that's been a really good thing, because I don't want her to ever have any doubts.'

Miranda's parents are private investigators, so she grew up aware of how cheating can damage relationships.

'I had seen their wedding picture in Country Weekly. I knew better, like this is off limits,' she told Dateline NBC in 2011 of Blake's previous marriage to Gern.

Blake will next perform on ABC's Country Music Awards November 6, and Miranda's next concert will be January 31 in San Diego.

Look, if you can't trust your spouse then you have no business being married. If they trust each other then so what? Just because a famous person takes a picture with someone else doesn't mean they are sleeping together. But the media wants you to think so, because it makes a juicy story.

Blake loves a pretty lady, you can see that just by his comments to contestants on The Voice. But just because he had a picture taken with a woman who's not his wife, certainly doesn't mean there was anything going on between them. Give me a break!
