Man City target El Shaarawy pops up in Manchester... at the barbers?

AC Milan and Italy starlet Stephan El Shaarawy was snapped with a suitcase in the Manchester suburb of Chorlton on Thursday evening.

The young attacker has been heavily linked with joining Manchester City's berth of attacking talent - so why was he going in to a barbershop?

Unfortunately for City fans, the answer doesn't have anything to do with a possible transfer - the mohawked forward was there to film a new television commercial for Samsung.

Since breaking into the first team in early 2011 at just 18 years of age, El Shaarawy has become one of the key players in an otherwise disappointing AC Milan side.

Joined last season by former Manchester City favourite Mario Balotelli, the two forwards have been branded 'the face of new Italy', lighting up the league with their explosive and extravagant style of play.

For now, it looks like City fans will have to make do with their current star-studded forward line, but who knows? Perhaps if El Shaarawy got a decent cut he might have taken a shine to Manchester.
